First Fridays at The Barrow Group - WITH DIGNITY

The Barrow Group has an amazing program called First Fridays that lets writers showcase their works in progress. For Works in Progress, writers are pre-selected to share up to 10 pages of their script-in-progress in front of an audience. Actors will be cast on the spot at 6pm EST (no advanced casting allowed) and the readings will begin at 7pm EST.

For the month of March, the theme is Women and Femme writers with host Arielle Beth Klein. Arielle is a Brooklyn-based actor/writer. As an actor, she’s performed off-broadway and regionally. Select credits include: New Yiddish Rep’s Drama-Desk-nominated production of Death of a Salesman in Yiddish, The Theater at Woodshill’s Hamlet (Ophelia), the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene’s staged reading of The Wall (Rutka) and Saratoga Shakespeare Company’s touring youth production of Much Ado about Nothing (Beatrice). Arielle holds a degree in Early Childhood (Special) Education from University of Delaware. She’s been training at The Barrow Group since 2015. Arielle also works at a Founding Core Collaborator for Kervigo Ensemble Theater.
